No walk on the Bridge for Pirlo

AC Milan have proven that they're not playing around when it comes to Pirlo. Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has told Chelsea that the star midfielder will finish his career at the San Siro. Although Pirlo, 30, is only under contract until 2012, so i really don't think he'll be finishing Milan, but anyway.....
Owner Berlusconi had talks with manager Leonardo and VP Galliani to decide on Pirlo's future.

He said: "Andrea Pirlo has been taken off the market. He will stay with us and finish his career at Milan.
"You know that Andrea Pirlo was wanted by Chelsea with a suitable economic offer.
"We also talked with the player and we decided to accept Leonardo's request to keep Pirlo."

Even with Pirlo staying Milan will not win the Serie A title this year. Ronaldinho, Pato, Pirlo, Gattuso and co will not be good enough to lift the Seriea title next may.

Bayern 4 Milan 1

WOW! Bayern thumped AC Milan 4-1 in the Audi Cup. That causes some serious concern. I understand that Milan played in the US as pre-season frendlies, but please.......what the hell is Milan doing?? I wish Berlusconi would just appoint his old boys back as coaches and scouts. His old boys being Franco Baresi, Frank Rijkaard, Ruud Gullit, Marco Van Basten and ask Poalo Maldini to be a defense coach.

I have a confession. I like to see Milan win, but this isn't the way to do it. Leonardo was a good player but i don't think he has the managerial qualities like coaches i mentioned. It's like Galliani is happy as long as any body is in the hot seat, not the right body.
I hope Milan can surprise me this season, but i fail to see them even making it into the Europa League this time around.

Pirlo stays at Milan

AC Milan have rejected a seven million pound bid from Chelsea for Andrea Pirlo. Basically Milan's vice president Galliani told former Milan manager (now Chelsea manager) Ancelotti to take a hike because the offer was too low for Galliani's liking.

Galliani said'The offer of seven million pounds plus Claudio Pizarro is not satisfactory...under these conditions Pirlo is not for sale,'Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

So what Galliani's really saying is........give us another 56 million and he's yours. And they still won't win Lo Scudetto.

AC Milan to loan Beckham again

AC Milan want David Beckham on loan again. That is the news that burned into my pupils when I turned on my reader today. I'm so friggin' happy I could lick whipped cream off my dog's butt..........Not really, I'm f***king pissed off. Why would you have a disruptive crybaby at your club knowing the shit he's said in the papers about team-mates (Landon Donovan), he doesn't respect the relationship between fans and players (the fiasco at the Galaxy-Milan game), and he's not the best on the Milan pitch, no matter what Posh says. Leonardo better run and hide if this actually happens, I'll find you Leonardo, just like the scene in Cape fear when Nick Nolte has Robert De Niro beaten up, but De Niro reverses the table : "Councilor, is that you?....Councilor.....come out come out wherever you are" That'll be me to Leonardo!

Beckham spent 5 long agonizing months (for me anyway) on loan at Milan and, in my opinion, DID NOT help Milan in any way. And reports have been around stating that an actual transfer of Beckham to Milan could happen for around 11.2 million pounds.

Beckham told the AC Milan website:
"I hope to return to play for Milan. They have remained in my heart and honestly I am confident I will greet them again in November. It's really pleasing to see that I have left good memories."
And you really wonder why the Galaxy fans are pissed at you? You are more stupid than the media make out!

I hope he goes to the Premiership, I really do. Milan need defenders not midfielders who think they're the star of the team, think they should get more money than the 'actual players', and think they don't have to do too much work. Milan doesn't need Beckham again, they didn't need him at all, it was just to boost the shirt sales. Please Galliani and Leonardo, signing Beckham is like a Great White Shark.........it's gonna come up and bite the Milan top dogs in the ass.

Ancelotti for the title

Carlo Ancelotti and Chelsea are tipped to win the English Premier League next season.....according to David Beckham. Beckham fell in love with Ancelotti's managerial ways that he's even told reporters that Chelsea will beat Man UTD in the Premier Championship race. Sound's like he wants Ancelotti to come in a rescue him from his LA Galaxy contract, and with every comment he makes about anyone in the football world, it's clear to me that he only signed for Galaxy for three reasons......1. Posh told him to, 2. for the money, and 3. for the media circus.

Basically he has said that no-one even comes close to Ancelotti's managerial abilities. I beg to differ David. What has he done for Milan? Since taking over Milan, Ancelotti has won 1 Italian League title, 2 European Champions League, 1 Italian Cup, 1 Italian Super Cup, 1 UEFA Super Cup and 1 World Club Cup.
Not bad, but i would have liked more Italian League titles, compared to Ferguson, this is just small change. Ancelotti even ignored Ronaldinho after the brilliant Brazilian returned from injury for the second half of the season, in which i believe cost Milan second place in the league.
Beckham just wants out of MLS so bad that he's prepared to tell reporters magic stuff about anybody who will take his dumb ass.
If Leonardo signs Beckham on loan for Milan again, then he'll join Beckham in the Dumb Ass division of football.

Ronaldinho to shine again

Ronaldinho has told reporters that he is ready to get Milan going again and play his best football, like he was at Barcelona. He told reporters that he feels like the squad look up to him and he is ready to fill the boots of Kaka. Ronaldinho doesn't need to fill anyone's boots. Ronaldinho is Ronaldinho. I've seen Ronaldinho do tricks on the ball that would put Cristiano Ronaldo to shame.
Ancelotii stopped playing Ronaldinho after the Brazilian came back from injury in the second half of the season, and it proved to be a mistake for Ancelotti.

Ancelotti's mind wasn't with Milan, because if it was Milan would have won Lo Scudetto.
I really don't know why or how Berlusconi lasted this long with Ancelotti in charge. Maybe it was out of respect as Ancelotti was a former player at Milan in the 80's.
Whatever it was, he did a bad thing leaving out Ronaldinho. I totally understand that you should fight for your place and all that, but when you choose Inzaghi over Ronaldinho, there must be something wrong with you.

Inzaghi is a goal poacher, Ronaldinho is a playmaker. Ancelotti could have easily put Kaka as a striker and played Ronaldinho in Kaka's(the traitor) position.
Well, too late now, and thankfully it's goodbye Ancelotti.
FORZA MILAN!

Fabiano's agent: Mr. Berlusconi....we need more money please.

Luis Fabiano's agent has told AC Milan they need to put some more green on the table, so that his client can touch the San Siro's green. Fabiano's agent Mr. Fuentes told Radio Onda Zero that it is Milan's offer that is the sticking opoint in this deal. According to him, Milan only want to pay 14 million euros, but Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido demands 20 million euros. Do Milan need more players, all they need to do is get their existing stars to unite and become a team, not indivdual players who can play their socks off, but they lack something. Hopefully Leonardo can make it happen.

Pirlo going nowhere insists Galliani

AC Milan have basically told Chelsea to shove their offer for Pirlo up their arses. Former AC Milan boss, and now Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti wants Pirlo to join him to Stamford Bridge. But AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has had enough of the transfer rumour. Galliani has stated that Pirlo is destined to stay a Milan player despite all the rumours and hype, and have never entered negotiations with Chelsea for the 3o year Rossoneri star.

Pirlo has another three years left on his current contract with Milan until 2012, but we all know how that goes.
If he goes, i don't think Milan will miss him too much, as i think Milan's midfield is too congested anyway. I would rather see Ambrosini go than Pirlo, so Milan could play Gattuso as a defensive midfield, sitting behind the two central midfielders(Seedorf and Pirlo).
That's how i would play them, how would you organize an aging team?

Go Georgey Go!!!

This is what AC Milan need if they are serious about winning Lo Scudetto next season.

This was against Verona in 1996. I watched the live match on TV. It was a beautiful moment.

AC Milan to sign Onye-who?

AC Milan have signed Oguchi Onyewu on a 3 year contract. You would think with the transfer money from the sale of their golden boy Kaka, they would have bought someone with a bit more experience playing with the big boys in Europe, not Metz, La Louviere, Standard Liege and Newcastle United.

A total of 217 games in 9 years he has played, 179 in Belgium. What the fuck is going on at Milan? You have so much money and all you can buy is this guy? I'm not doubting that he's a good player, but I just think he hasn't got the experience that is required and needed at the Milan back four. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

Milan needs a sugar daddy like Abramovich, and either Fabio Capello or Franco Baresi as manager and Poalo Maldini as an Assistant. I think then Milan will dominate again.

New poll waiting for your votes.

With last week's poll over, the new poll started this morning.
If you have the time, please just take a couple of seconds to vote.

The question is: Who is the greatest AC Milan forward of the last 20 years?
Looking forward to seeing your opinions.

Thanks. JC

"No compromise" Milan fans say.

About 300 AC Milan fans were outside the clubs training ground furious at the way the club sold their Brazilian star Kaka to Real Madrid. They sounded off with jeers to the club officials, even though the club are 67 million Euros better off.
Fans let off smoke bombs and bangers while aiming chants at club bosses, but VP Adriano Galliani told fans that they should be happy at what Milan have already won.

'No-one else has won as many titles as Milan in Europe or the world,' he said at Milan's first press conference of the new season, during which he also unveiled Massimo Ambrosini as the club's new captain.
'It's normal that some people protest because in life it's allowed. Season tickets are down by only 20 percent with respect to last year so that shows that 80 percent of fans are right behind the club.'

Galliani was referring to Milan's record 18 internationally recognized titles but among those there are five European Supercups and three now-defunct Intercontinental Cups.
It means that eight of Milan's world record international trophy haul were won in one-off matches against single opponents, whilst they have also won the Club World Cup once, beating just two teams to earn that honour.
This has still not made the fans happy and they feel they should be winning something every year.

'No compromise: think first about Milan and then your own interests,' one banner read alluding to the fact that club President Berlusconi hasn't spent much money on the team in previous years
Milan finished third in Serie A last season, a big 10 points behind their bitter and city rivals Inter, and since then they have lost Maldini to retirement, Kaka has been sold, and whiner Beckham has gone back to LA Galaxy now that his loan spell has finished. And to the dismay of Milan fans there hasn't been any new signings yet
Milan have not won the title since 2004 and last season were often criticized for being over the hill.
And now Milan still have their "over the hill" (30 plus) players, they sold the 27 year old Kaka. But Galliani insists that Milan are in a renewal stage, and that they want to balance the books better and concentrate on youth.

It's this man crackers? Ambrosini as the new club captain? What about Gattuso? Yes Milan ARE over the hill, and they almost always seem to buy "over the hill" players.
Milan would have easily won the Serie A title if only they had a lot more youth in their side. So how long is this going to take? A good few years.
Milan should have been concentrating on youth player when Costacurta and Maldini turned 33, so whoever was brought in had time to be molded into great players like they were. Too late now Galliani.........it's Juve or Inter again next season.

Milan to buy Crouch?

As I was reading the gossip from BBC Sport and one headline popped out at me, "AC Milan targeting Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch".

Now, I'm not a fan of Peter Crouch, and pardon me if I don't think he'll do anything for Milan other than get in the way with his big 6'7" frame and score a few headers, but nothing more than that. Sorry, but that's my personal opinion. Crouch cannot run away from defenders like a single Milan fan running from an angry mob of Juve supporters. He's not very graceful with the hoofs of his, so all Milan are going to buy him for is his height. I'm afraid Milan have the cash now from the sale of Kaka and are looking for any old port in the storm. If they just calmed down, evaluate their youth players, they will see that they have sufficient firepower, but they desperately need some good defenders if they are to be serious about winning the Serie A title.

Maldini's gone, he was the last of the greats from the old Milan, when you had Tassotti, Maldini, Baresi and Costacurta as the back four. That was a mean defense. I'm not saying they won every game, but that was some defense.

I just don't think Crouch would be suitable to play for Milan. Sorry Peter.

Galliani: Pato stays put

The Italian giants AC Milan have turned down a huge offer from an English club for the Brazilian teenage sensation Alexandre Pato, according to Milan's Vice President Adriano Galliani. The 19 year old forward has recently been linked to moneybags Abramovich's Chelsea who is now managed by Milan's former manager Carlo Ancelotti. But Galliani insisted that Pato will still be playing at the San Siro next season.

Pato will receive a contract extension, after stating that he wants to stay at Milan

Galliani told acmilan.com:
"I am absolutely delighted by Pato's comments. "We have always spoken to Pato and the comments that arrive from other continents usually are mistaken. There were no doubts and there are no doubts regarding his future. "The only offer that has arrived to our club was a monster offer from England for Alexandre Pato. I continue to believe that there isn't a player in the world that is as strong as him of his age. In any case, no one should worry because he is under contract through June 2012."
Pato finished last season as Milan's second highest scorer behind Kaka with 15 goals in 36 appearances.

I really hope he doesn't go from Milan because the times i saw him he was cool, calm, and a good finisher. Now that Kaka(the traitor) has gone maybe Ronaldinho will shine more and Pato finish the job off.

Ancelotti to leave AC Milan?

Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti is considering his future at Milan to leave for English Premier League side Chelsea, even though he is under contract with the Italian giants until June 30 next year. Seems like Roman Abromivich's wallet has started talking again. If Ancelotti does part with AC Milan it will be disappointing to see him go to work with the money man (Abramovich) and not stay with Milan who he helped win Lo Scudetto in 2004, and the UEFA Champions League in 2003 and 2007 and who he played for in the'80s. But after 8 years and only 3 major trophies in the cabinet, it seems like Milan can do better when it comes to the coaching staff.

In the fore-running for the job are former Milan players Leonardo, who is currently a scout at Milan, former Holland manager Marco Van Basten who has just stepped down from Ajax, and former Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard. My personal opinion is that Franco Baresi should be given a chance of managing the Italian giants to try to get back on par with their city rivals Inter who have just won Lo Scudetto under Jose Mourinho, who was the former Chelsea manager. Along with Baresi, Galliani should try to entice Ruud Gullit, Van Basten and Rijkaard as assistants to Franco Baresi, then i think that AC Milan will be a tough opponent for anyone in the world.
