Mourinho: Inter fans didn't like Ibrahimovic

Inter manager Jose Mourinho has took a stab at transfer bound Ibrahimovic, stating that he was never liked by the Inter fans.
Ibra is set to go to Barcelona, and Sammy Eto'o coming to Inter, and Mourinho said that Inter fans will have more affection for Eto'o than Ibrahimovic. Mourinho goes on to say the deal that is set up...Ibrahimovic in swap for Eto'o, cash AND Hleb on loan, is an incredible one.

I have two questions to this.

1. Who's making way for Hleb and Eto'o
2. Why doesn't Mourinho seem to be in control of the transfers?

I could never be a manager of a club who doesn't trust my opinion on who stays and who doesn't. Some people gave Kevin Keegan shit for resigning from Newcastle because of the Director of Football Dennis Wise crap. But at least he spoke out and basically said F**k You.
At least someone's got the guts to.
My prediction: Eto'o a hit....Ibrahimovic a BIG miss. Looks like Guardiola will be crying in his beer on this occasion.
What do you think?

Eto'o for Inter Milan

Inter Milan and Barcelona have agreed the switching of Sammy Eto'o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Inter will get Eto'o, cash AND Hleb on loan, and to me for Barcelona, it's a very stupid move. Ibrahimovic is a good player, i just don't like the dirty tricks he pulls when he doesn't have to, and his work rate is left to be desired sometimes, where as Eto'o, he'll run anywhere all game, whether it's for himself or for his fellow players.
Seems like Guardiola knows what he's doing right?......i mean he did win the treble. This is what he said about Eto'o

"I am convinced that the best thing for Barca is for Eto'o to leave," stated Guardiola. "Could I be mistaken? Maybe so. But I am here to make these decisions."
Guardiola added Eto'o's departure would be good for the team.
"I feel that it is best for the club and the team. It's a question of feelings," said Guardiola. "I am not here to change anyone's character, but I can decide on which players I want to count on for the season.
"After what we won, we had to change the dressing room. I took this decision from my experience as a footballer."
Eto'o was about to sign for Man City but manager Mark Hughes withdrew the offer.
I don't think the swap will affect either team too much to effect their title hopes, but it's going to be weird seeing these two players in the wrong colours. But hey, we'll soon find out.

Trading players like it's Football Manager 2009

Barcelona and Inter Milan have agreed to trade....Eto'o + cash for Ibrahimovic. It has been reported that Barca will pay 35 million pound plus Eto'o for Ibrahimovic, and in addition Alex Hleb will spend a season on loan at Inter.
Eto'o was about to sign for Manchester City until City pulled out of the deal. He is out of contract next summer and will be transfer delight for anyone who can snap him up on a free.
After jumping ship from a sinking Juventus in 2006, amongst all the match fixing crap, Ibrahimovic has been in the spotlight ever since and supposedly become one of Europe's top marksmen. He was Serie A top scorer last season, and has been courted by Manchester United and Real Madrid.
If Ibrahimovic does go to Barcelona, he will again be with Maxwell, who has just joined Barca from Inter for 3.9 million pounds.
I think that Eto'o should stay at Barca because he's a hard worker and can score goals.
All i see Ibrahimovic do is complain, wait by the last defender and throw his arms up in the air when he gets beat on the ball.

Eto'o wants to be a Red Devil.

Samuel Eto'o is ready to take a pay cut to play for Man UTD. He has been stalling over a move to their local rivals Manchester City for almost 6 weeks but the wage demand of £200,000 a week has proven to be a sticking point. But the main reason why he hasn't joined City yet is because of the £12million piece of the £25m transfer fee.
But it is reported that he would forget about that if Sir Alex would snap him up. Ferguson still needs another striker just to be safe in case Michael Owen does get another serious injury. He would accept £150,000-a-week that would still make him the top earner at Old Trafford instead of the possibility of mid-table football at Eastlands.

One source close to the player said: "Samuel has not been convinced by a move to a mid-table side in the Premier League and neither will he sign a new deal at Barca."

Guardiola has offered Eto'o a 2 year extension of his current contract, which is £100,000- a-week. But the 28 year old Cameroon international, but he could play just the upcoming season and then leave.
Despite all this, Barcelona are ready to sign David Villa from Valencia and manager Guardiola has told sporting director Txiki Begiristain that he would be willing to have Eto'o and Villa in the same team.
If Barcelona's bid of £40m offer for Villa is turned down, they will go for Athletico Madrid's Diego Forlan, who has a £33m buyout clause, but Barca hope they will get him for a fee closer to £30m.

I can't imagine anyone topping Sir Alex if this deal goes through. I mean Wenger's "project" isn't really working, Chelsea are all messed up because of the manager situation last year, plus they have too many 'stars', and Benitez is still whining that he's better than Man UTD, and how the refs are out to get Liverpool.
So really, even if Eto'o doesn't sign for SAF and UTD, i believe the Premier League crown is staying at Old Trafford, but can you imagine if he does sign, UTD should have won the title by Christmas.

Laporta saddened by Eto'o.

Barcelona top man Joan Laporta admits he is disappointed and saddened at the way the Sammy Eto'o transfer opera has been staged. The Cameroon international has been targeted by Manchester City for a move to The Eastlands costing £25million. But Laporta insists he would be happy if Eto'o would remain at Barcelona and has actually offered him a new two-year deal.

The player's agent, Josep Maria Mesalles, revealed the Spanish champs had told him twice in recent weeks that the forward was not needed at the Nou Camp. He also described Laporta's claims that 29 year old Eto'o made astronomical wage demands as "absolutely false". But the Cameroon hotshot has hit back at those claims.

He said: "His representative and Samuel have said that he wants to continue and the club have offered him a contract renewal with the same conditions that he had, which we believe are very good. "I think that what his representative is doing is not helping Samuel. It's a mistake to take the debate in the media. It's not doing the player any favours.

Personally this matter has left me a little disappointed, it saddens me because I hold Eto'o in high esteem. "I would like, in the same way as I've said how up until now he has given a lot to Barca, that Eto'o reflects on what Barca have given him. I will do everything possible to find the best solution for the club and for Eto'o. It would be best for both parties."
I think it's a shame that this is going on in Barcelona because it might make a rift in the Barca camp and that's what they don't need. Real are signing anyone they can and seem to be in good spirits because of it. I think Eto'o is a top notch striker and deserves respect. But at the same time both Eto'o and Barcelona need to sort this out before the start of the season, or they could risk disrupting an outstanding team.

Samuel Eto'o on his travels?

Pep Guardiola, the man who achieved the treble last season with Barcelona, has told Sammy Eto'o that he should leave Barcelona. The Spanish giants want to trade Eto'o, plus cash for Inter's striker Ibrahimovic.

"I am convinced that the best thing for Barca is for Eto'o to leave," said Guardiola."Could I be mistaken? Maybe so. But I am here to make these decisions."

Guardiola also stated that it would be best for Barcelona if Eto'o left the club.I don't think it will work out.....the whole Ibrahimovic at Barca thing....it doesn't sound right. Mr. Guardiola, you are the boos, but i don't think Eto'o should go anywhere, and Inter should keep Ibrahimovic because he belongs there. He's whiny, sometimes clumsy, attention seeker...which are just perfect for Mourinho. I mean...who better to know about those things?

Pep, there's no doubt that you have proven your critics wrong, and you are indeed a good manager, but with this decision please think hard because in the future, you might regret it.

Barca and Man UTD win big

So it's congratulations to Barcelona who nabbed the Spanish title away from Real Madrid in style. With players like Messi, Eto'o, Xavi, Iniesta and Captain Marvel Puyol, it's hard to believe when you read the team sheet that this side will lose to anyone. I think there would be only a handful of European teams that could win Barcelona this season, and maybe that will be Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League final tonight.

Congratulations also to Manchester United with their Premier League title, matching Liverpool's record of 18 Premier League/Division 1 titles. Manchester United doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon, so expect Sir Alex to be getting the cabinet ready for more trophies next season.

Whoever wins in the Champions League final, i hope both teams do not sit back and just look for the single goal and then kill the game. I know it's football and this is a major trophy to win, but for a neutral like meI would like to see a good game without the usual playacting that comes with football today.

Good luck to both teams.
