Another one bites the white chalk.
A masked gunman killed a man in front of friends last night on football field. The unlucky victim was shot several times at the open space in West Wickham, South East London. Officers were called to the Sparrows Den playing fields shortly after 6.30pm last night, they found a man dying from multiple bullet wounds. The air ambulance was called but he died at the scene.
It is understood that police suspect the attack was not random and may be linked to gang violence and detectives think the victim who has not been named may be from the Croydon area of South London.
No arrests have been made.
